CTA

Poor people…looking to the CTA…it was hot today…really hot…and everyone in this public bus wished to be in that other bus…me too…the bus with seats…with ventilation ...but we can not afford it…it is very expensive for us…it costs 2 whole pounds…we better stand with the nice crowd, suffer for 2 hours with the beautiful traffic pollution and body smell and save 1.5 pounds for our happy future

I thought both of the donkey-driven, exhaust-leaking-in-the-cabin bus of 50p and the air-conditioned bus of 2P were both operated by Cairo Transport Authority; or are you referring to this CTA!!

and most of the time it is slow.. it moves too slow as if we should spend enough time with our money wihch makes it unsuitable for quick and urgent things!!

ya Alif, both work under the authority of CTA (Cairo Transport Authority), but it went as a "Moda" to call the one with the air-codntion and 2LE ticket, that name: "CTA"

May be the people see that anything with high level of service should have an english name!

Actually it depends not all CTA's are run by CTA lol.
In some ways saving 1.5LE makes sense, get on a CTA and most likely you'll know why. Not all CTAs have a working A/C and to make the things worse the windows are to small for the ones without the A/C. CTA buses are quite dark on the inside and a lot of them stink. And in the end it boils down to how you like to boil, either cheap with a lot of sweat and its smell on an open fire or you can have the expensive boil with sweat and the smell of sweat mixed with a scent of sha7m which intern will possibley get your cloths dirty.
